Not ready to spend the entire holiday season hovering over your own stove? Check out these foodie options over the next couple of weeks.
Toscana Italian Steakhouse, 600 S. Polk St., will hold its special Santa’s Brunch, with reservations available from 10 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. Dec. 20. In addition to enjoying a pre-Christmas brunch buffet with the jolly old soul, kids can take pictures and even ask for some last-minute gifts.
Santa will stick around town to enjoy breakfast from 8 to 10 a.m. Dec. 21 at the iconic Big Texan Steak Ranch & Brewery, 7701 E. Interstate 40, including photos, a Christmas carol singalong and special kids’ prices.
For those on the opposite end of the goodness spectrum, check out the Grinch Brunch from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. Dec. 21 at the Drunken Oyster, 7606 S.W. 45th Ave. Reservations are suggested. (Also coming to the Drunken Oyster: its Eighth Anniversary Party at 7 p.m. Dec. 18, featuring giveaways and music from Velvet Funk.
The Big Texan’s annual Christmas Day Buffet, as it has for more than 60 years, will feature such traditional favorites as turkey and ham, prime rib, cornbread dressing, mashed potatoes, giblet gravy, yams and more—plus your choice of pumpkin or pecan pie. Seatings are available from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. Dec. 25.
And, looking forward a little further, a couple of New Year’s Eve options:
Savór, 7669 Hillside Road, Suite 600, will host a special Dinner in the Dark beginning at 8:30 p.m. Dec. 31, featuring a five-course dinner and two speciality cocktails. Reservations are suggested.
Toscana will offer a Chef’s Table Dinner at 6 and 8:30 p.m. Dec. 31, featuring a four-course dinner curated by Executive Chef Marcus Snead, then admission to the Barfield Hotel’s two New Year’s Eve parties.
